Samsung Galaxy S20 and Galaxy S20 Plus will have pro video mode for manual video recording. Samsung Galaxy S20 Unpacked event promo video has been revealed as well. Samsung Galaxy S11 Plus has been renamed to Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra . Samsung Galaxy S20, Samsung Galaxy S20+, and Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra are going to be the official names.
So Samsung is leaving no stone unturned in making sure the Galaxy S20 offers the best
camera experience.
We have talked about how the Galaxy S20 Ultra will offer a 108MP camera, one of the biggest
camera sensors, the biggest pixel size for any smartphone out there and much much more.
And today we are learning that Samsung is bringing back one key camera feature the camera
nerds will absolutely love and appreciate and it's the pro video mode which will let
you control various aspects of its camera manually like shutter speed, ISO, exposure
and more.
Past Samsung flagships had this pro video recording option but for some reason, Samsung
removed it with the OneUI update almost a couple of years ago.
But thankfully they are bringing it back, we already have the pro camera mode, now the
pro video mode will give the camera nerds full control on the camera to take photos
or videos however they want to like.
The good news is this is software related so that means the existing flagships like
the Galaxy S10, Note 10 and possibly older Galaxy flagships could get this pro video
mode with a software update.
Also, Max Weinbach found some other camera features in the latest firmware version.
We talked about the Director's view in the past, today Max found some more information
about it.
So basically what this does is, it locks the focus on a subject while recording the video
and it maintains that focus on the subject even when you switch between the regular,
telephoto, and ultra-wide lenses which will be a nifty feature if you film a lot of videos
on your smartphone.
Also, there's a mode called Single Take Photo, which will take pictures and videos automatically
when it detects optimal moments, like a smile or a kiss.
And last but not the least, there will be an 8K video recording capability that will
let you record in ultra-high-resolution at 30 frames per second which is also a first
for a smartphone.
So Samsung accidentally revealed the official promo for their Unpacked event where they
are going to showcase the Galaxy S20 and the Galaxy Fold 2 aka the clamshell Galaxy smartphone.
The video shows the event will be held on February 11th which is in line with what we
heard a few days ago.
The promo shows that two devices are being launched, the first a in the Galaxy represents
the rectangular camera hump on the Galaxy S20 and the second a represents the clamshell
folding smartphone.
Also notice that they haven't mentioned the term S11 in the promo which basically confirms
that the name change is real, these are going to be the new names of Samsung's S series
flagships which is done to better align the name with the new decade.
Of course, we'll hear more about it in the coming days, we're just over a month away
from the official unpacked event so expect a plethora of Galaxy S20 information in the
days to come so if you want to keep up with all the info about the S20 then do consider
