Huawei P40 Pro - NEVER BEFORE SEEN DESIGN

Huawei P40 Pro will have the industry-first quad curved display design. Huawei P40 Pro will also have a camera design almost exactly like the Samsung Galaxy S11 with a huge rectangle at the back.

So Huawei's CEO did an interview a few days ago where he said their new flagship phone
the Huawei P40 Pro will have and I quote, a never-before-seen design.
That's a really bold claim considering smartphone designs have kinda got plateaued.
But it looks like he wasn't kidding.
The P40 Pro will indeed have a never before seen design.
On leaks as you know a very reliable tipster revealed the first look of the P40 Pro which
shows that the phone will have a quad curved display.
That's right not only it will have display curves at the sides but at the top and bottom
as well.

We saw multiple Samsung patents in the past suggesting that Samsung has this kinda design
in their mind as well but it looks like Huawei will beat Samsung to this design and launch
the industry-first quad curved design.
In my opinion, this will surely look great and futuristic.
But there's absolutely zero practical applications of this design apart from the fact that it
looks cool.
Also, this will make the device even more fragile.
You can put cases on this thing, though as the display doesn't curve at the corners but
I honestly don't know how I feel about this design.
On one hand, I'm a sucker for good looks and I want my phone to look beautiful but on the
other hand, I don't want the new design to ruin the user experience.

Accidental touches are surely going to be a thing with this handset even though they
can use software to prevent it.
But even then it's going to be a problem for sure.
So I like this design and at the same time, I also hate it if that makes any sense.
Anyway, the camera design looks very familiar.
It looks exactly like the Galaxy S11's camera design.
I hate to say this but it looks like 2020 is going to be the year of who's going to
make the ugliest camera design.

It started with the iPhone 11 Pro,
Pixel 4, Galaxy S11 and now the P40 Pro and I'm sure
the rest will follow this stupid trend as well.
Also, the P40 Pro will have the industry-first 10 times optical zoom camera.
It was rumored a few days ago that the Galaxy S11+ will also have the 10 times optical zoom
camera but it looks like that wasn't true.
It'll have 5 times optical zoom instead.
And Huawei will be the first one to use the 10 times optical zoom.

This comes from Ice Universe and also Ming-Chi Kuo who are the top industry insiders out
there.
The P40 Pro will come with an 8MP periscope zoom camera with an f/4.0 aperture.
While the Galaxy S11 will offer 5x optical zoom through a 48MP telephoto camera.
So these are totally two different approaches.
The image that you'll end up with the Galaxy S11 is going to be more detailed because of
the higher megapixels and better aperture.

Whereas the P40 Pro will give that 10 times optical zoom but with slightly lower image
quality.
By the way, I'm just speculating we don't have these devices in the hand so it's impossible
to say which is going to offer the best quality.
But let know your thoughts.
Do you think there's much practical applications of 10x zoom? or Do you think zooming so far
away is a bit of an overkill.

Do let me know down in the comments
